1. IIT, Kharagpur

Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur was founded in the year 1951 by the Government of India.  Currently this institute is considered to be the best place to continue your higher education in Architecture. IIT’s campus in Kharagpur covers an area of about 2100 acres. The main course in architecture field is the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) This autonomous institute of technology and engineering is of high national significance.

2. Sir JJ College of Architecture, Mumbai

Sir J.J. College of Architecture is one of the most well-known and prestigious architecture colleges in all of India. Located in Mumbai, this college is under the supervision of Mumbai University. As the first architecture school in all of Asia, Sir JJ College of Architecture was established in 1913. This institute offers courses of Architecture such as Bachelor of Architecture at undergraduate level with duration of 5 years and Master of Architecture at Postgraduate level with duration of 2 years.  The requirements for doing the B.Arch course you would require 10+2 with physics, Chemistry and Math from a recognized board. And for M.Arch you’d require bachelor’s degree in architecture from any recognized University.

3. School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi

School of Planning and Architecture, also known as SPA, is a well-known and recognized university in the fields of planning and Architecture.  This institute was founded in the year 1941 and it is currently affiliated by the University of Delhi.
