Rainforests around the world

Rainforests are the forests categorized in the section of high rainfall in relation to the normal rainfall levels. They are of great importance because migratory animals and species sustain as much as 50% on earth. They also help survive some really exquisite and unique species.

Rainforests is a world like no other! It is one of the most alive and amusing experiences in one’s life. Here’s a brief portrayal of where exactly are the rainforests and their vivid features! The rainforests are barely 6% of the surface of the earth yet they are home to thousands of species across the globe.

Rainforests are a major source of very useful things like chocolate, sugar, cinnamon, rubber, pineapples and medicine. We eat several foods from the rainforests. There are some specific ingredients which are found only in the rainforests and nowhere else. Facts represent that, as many as 30 million species of plants and animals live in the tropical rainforests.

The Central American Rainforests

A part of whole region of the Central America is very well known for its rainforest, once it was largely covered with rainforests but now people have found a high-quality yield resource for produce of cattle & sugar cane plantation. Like many other rainforests, the Central American rainforest also has reserves of various plants and animals found nowhere. Exceptionally Unique! It is also famous for its large number of tropical birds and other species.

Africa

Africa holds the world’s second largest rainforest. Madagascar is one of the prime names when it comes to rainforests. Many distinct species and animals consider Madagascar as a home! Actually, most of the island of Madagascar was earlier a forest hence it is primarily considered as a rainforest. Africa has areas of high-cloud forest, mangrove swamps and flooded forests.

Southern Asia

Rainforests of Asia stretch from India and Burma in the west to Malaysia and Borneo in the east of Asia. In the southern parts of Asia, the climate is hot and humid, all year round! Asia also considers diverse species of animals and exceptional plant reserves. Bangladesh in the Asian continent has largest reserves and area of mangrove forest in the world!

Australia

In the southern continent, about millions of years ago, Australia and New Zealand shaped an enormous area of large forested southern continent secluded from the rest of the world! Today, both these countries contain many different species and animals that transpire nowhere else.

The Amazon

The Amazon Rainforest also known as The Amazon jungle is the world’s largest tropical rainforest. The Amazon Forests cover the basin of the infamous Amazon River, which also happens to be World’s Second longest river. The Amazon is home to a mixture of species and greatest variety of plants and animals on earth. About 1/5th of world’s plants are found here; and about 1/10th of all living things/animals are found here!
