Nintendo Wii games

Nintendo has previously made gaming consoles such as the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Cube and N64. However, with both the PS3 and Xbox 360 releasing their own motion-controlled devices, where does the original game-changer stand with its lineup of games? Here are some top Nintendo Wii games

1. Rayman Origins

Rayman is a mysterious Bubble Dreamer who has created the Glade of Dreams. The snoring of Rayman’s friends disturbs an old granny from the Land of the Livid Dead who sends an army to the Glade of Dreams. It’s all up to Rayman and his friends now to save their world.

2. Super Mario Bros. Wii

Princess Peach is celebrating her birthday with Mario and Luigi while she gets kidnapped by Bowser! It’s up to the Mario Bros. to travel across many worlds and rescue her. There are two toads too and a lot of promising activity for the player.

3. Super Mario Kart with Wii Wheel

This is a racing video game and is packaged with the Wii wheel accessory which will bring in more functional and conventional steering to the game. This is a follow-up of Mario Kart DS and up to 12 racers can play online. The locations are all similar to the settings in the original Mario game.

4. Abba: You Can Dance

Developed by Ubisoft, this game was announced in September of this year. It is a brilliant game for all Abba lovers and music lovers even otherwise. It features almost all tracks of the band. Well, for all you know, dancing on tracks like Mamma Mia and Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! can even prove to be a great form of exercise!

5. Bit.Trip Complete

This is the entire series of the Bit.Trip game. The Wii version has 20 extra challenge levels and new control schemes. With CommanderVideo as the protagonist, the style of this series ranges from shooting to platforming.

6.  Cabela’s Survival: Shadows of Katmai

This is another video game that is powered by its narrative. This has the potential to be called the best Wii game of 2011! A plane crashes and you are left on your own to fend for yourself. The route is fixed and you don’t have a lot of scope to explore the landscape but it’s a brilliant game nonetheless.

7. Just Dance 3

There are not just solos and duets in this game, but quartets too. This means that even four people can dance together! Dance Mashups are also there to enliven the whole feel of the game. New songs and modes can be unlocked with succeeding levels.

8. Kirby’s Return to Dreamland

Kirby and his friends have to find pieces of a spaceship, the Lor Starcutter around the planet Popstar. In their journey forward, they encounter some enemies who they have to defeat and reach their final battle. This game has undergone almost an 11-year old development period and it promises to live up to every expectation!

9. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

This is one of the action-adventure games of the Wii console. This will take you to the 16th century in the Legend of Zelda series. It has some crazy sword-fighting techniques which will make you use a lot of your energy. This is the predecessor of all the Zelda stories.

10. Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games

This is a series of mini sporting events. It is a Mario v/s Sonic adventure and it’s as good as good can be! There’s team Mario with Mario, Luigi, Princess, Bowser etc. versus Sonic, Knuckles, Dr. Eggman and so on. With each team given their own special powers, this game is a delight to play over 30 different sporting events.
