How to get rid of ticks and fleas of your dog

Fleas in Dogs have always been an issue for those who have pets, especially for people living in areas where it never gets too cold or the climate is humid and moist. Fleas and ticks can cause problems such as itching pets, home infestations and tape worms. But there is always a way to get rid of ticks in dogs. Here are some remedies for getting rid of fleas for dogs.

Nematodes – fleas and ticks are not only in your dog’s hair, but they are all around in yard and outside of the house. If you want to rid your yard or the place that your dog plays or sleeps, you should use Nematodes. Nematodes are microscopic worms that attack fleas and feast on cutworms, sod webworms and termites. So basically Nematodes are tiny worms who eat the fleas. There are different types of Nematodes but the best of them for getting rid of ticks and other pests are the beneficial Nematodes. There are many suppliers of beneficial insects such as Nematodes. They can easily be found online or purchased on leading websites.

Ectopamine Spray – Ectopamine Spray is one of the best products for getting rid of ticks, fleas as well as mosquitoes for your dog.

Diatomaceous Earth – this is a soft rock that is crumbled into powder easily to the size of less than a micrometer. By sprinkling diatomaceous dust in your yard or where your dog plays you can remove fleas. This powder acts like a sharp wire to fleas and cuts and kills them. It sounds cruel but what the fleas do to you pup is much worse. This dust will not hurt you or your puppy.

Boric Acid – This is actually present in most of the anti-fleas products for pets. Boric Acid causes severe dehydration to the parasites and kills them. This stays in the area for about a year and it is said that it cases skin and eye irritation but nothing severe.

Frequent Vacuum – By vacuuming your house regularly you can get rid of you fleas. You should vacuum the entire house including your furniture and curtains. Make sure to change the vacuum bag every time you vacuum.

All of these will help you in removing the fleas or ticks from your dogs coat but you should be absolutely regular and committed to these treatments.
