How to fix your sleeping schedule?

Many of us, including myself get used to sleeping late at night and find it difficult next day to wake up and go to work. In order to get a good night’s sleep you should start by fixing your sleeping schedule first. Here is how to do it in the simplest manner step by step: –

1. Waking up –  If you are used to sleeping late at night, sleep late for one night and wake up at a normal time that you have to in order to get to work on time. But force yourself to wake up on time.

2. During the Day – Do your work and stick your daily schedule. Also avoid going to bed during the bed, no matter how sleepy you get.

3. Caffeine – Stop taking coffee or tea in the evening as it will not let you sleep well.

4. No Napping – Usually most people take a nap between the hours 5 pm to 8 pm. If you are trying to fix you sleeping time then you cannot take any naps during the day, no matter how sleepy you are.

5. Dinner –   Have a very light dinner such as fruits or vegetables. If you have heavey meals for dinner your digestion system will be at work throughout the night which will result in you not getting a complete sleep.

6. Sleep – As soon as it is the right time to go to bed in order to get enough sleep and wake up early enough to go to work, hit the bed.

7. Keeping up – You must repeat the same every day until your body has adapted to the schedule.

Here are some tips on how to have a better sleep at night: –

  • Don’t stay up too late.
  • During the day, if at work do not sit at a very bright place.
  • If at bed time you need to get up for a glass of water or to go to the bathroom, try not switch on the lights.
  • Eat a healthy and complete meal for breakfast.
  • Exposure to sunlight is a must at least for two hours.
