How to Deal with a Hangover

So you partied too hard last night and had one too many drinks. You get up in the morning with an unpleasant taste in your mouth and a throbbing headache. Welcome to the wonderful world of hangovers! You curse yourself and promise you’ll never drink again and spend the entire day in pain and discomfort. But instead of all this, wouldn’t it be better to deal with it completely? Here are a few ways to ensure that the morning after isn’t the worst one of your life.

  1. Prevention is better than cure. Before you start drinking, make a mental note of how many drinks you are going to have and try your best to stick with it. This step mostly stops working after drink number 4 so the easier solution is
  2. STICK TO ONE TYPE OF DRINK. Everyone and one who’s ever had a hangover will tell you how mixing drinks is not a good idea. And for good reason. Stick to your favorite drink and don’t get tempted to try something new. Those colorful looking cocktails and those fancy shots are the main culprits causing hangovers. Don’t be an idiot. Just stick to your favorite drink and go slow.
  3. Stop drinking the moment you feel queasy. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that drinking to a point of throwing up is a never a wise idea. Show some restraint.

Now typically these suggestions never work once you’re drunk out of your mind. So you did ALL of the above things and woke up with a hangover. Now what?

  1. Brush you teeth, use a LOT of mouthwash and GO EAT. Eating is the best way to deal with a hangover.
  2. If you have the time, take a crocin or something and take a quick thirty minute nap. This works wonders. You will get up feeling much better.
  3. Drinks lots of water. You boy is severely dehydrated and needs as much water as possible. So drink up, water that is. Coffee does not work as well as water. The whole coffee solution is a myth.
  4. Learn from your mistakes. Think about what you did for you to reach this state. The next time you go out, take it easy on the drinks.

Well,  I hope this helps.  Let’s enjoy the partying without the side-effects.  Cheers!
