This PD is provided from your optician by performing your eye exam, or you can measure on your own using mirror and a ruler, you’ll need to measure the space between your pupils.

Frame Measurement

Frame measurement are recorded in mm (millimeters). It includes – lens width, bridge width and arm length. Lens width usually range from 40 mm to 60 mm, space between nose is know as nose bridge and it generally ranges between 14 mm to 24 mm. Arm length is also refer as temple arm and it often range between 120 mm and 150 mm.

There are different types of lenses which includes – single vision, bifocal, multifocal or non-prescription. Single vision consist of distance, reading, computer lenses. Bifocal lenses are mostly of two types Kryptok and D Frame. Multifocal lenses are used for viewing far, near and intermediate.
