Facebook will launch its own app store

Facebook created its own app store known as ‘App Center’. This is a market place for various apps for all mobile platforms as well as the social network.

App store will be launched in the following few weeks and one of its ambitions is to help people in knowing the best applications that their friends are using and enjoying. Facebook currently has more than 900 million members and this app center could become very popular. Facebook is planning to sell its own apps through app store as well.

Facebook is also encouraging developers to create paid-for apps solely for facebook. The developers will have to share 30 per cent of the price with facebook.

“ For the over 900 million people that use Facebook, the App Center will become the new, central place to find great apps like Draw Something, Pinterest, Spotify, Battle Pirates, Viddy, and Bubble Witch Saga. Everything has an app detail page, which helps people see what makes an app unique and lets them install it before going to an app.” Said Aaron Brady in company’s blog post on Introducing the App Center.

One of the best parts about App Center is that it has been designed in such a way that allows users of smart phones either android or iOS to browse the store for apps that is compatible with their devices and install it on their devices.
